Before aeroG Aviation was a company, it was a college project with a bold idea: an unmanned cargo aircraft that could take off vertically and fly like a plane.
Established in Woodland Park, New Jersey, with a mission to create industry changing innovations in unmanned flight.
The UV4 releases for Microsoft Flight Simulator X and Lockheed Martin Prepar3D, followed by X Plane 10/11, putting a real eVTOL concept in the hands of simmers worldwide. Later that year, aeroG launches the aG4: a manned, hybrid electric evolution of the UV4, designed for passengers and cargo.
Full design and specifications are finalized, and the UV4 is remastered with structural improvements and a new fly by wire autopilot.
The company secures a provisional patent protecting its unique design and propulsion method. Joseph Erik Mattern steps in as acting CEO.
The redesigned aG4 "Liberty" ships for X Plane 11 with custom avionics and full VR support, followed by v3.0's new ducted fan system with eight coaxial rotors. aeroG aircraft sell through SimMarket, Just Flight, and the X Plane.org store, with proceeds funding research toward real world airworthiness.
The aeroG 2026 eVTOL redesign is now in development for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, bringing our vision to virtual skies.
